Project Type
Coded Website from Mock Brief

Project Brief

I built a travel website based on a written mock brief rather than a visual design file. The project required organizing multiple sections, including navigation, featured destinations, visual highlights, and travel resources, into a clear and cohesive layout.

Without a visual reference, I focused on creating strong structure, consistent spacing, and clear hierarchy so the site would feel intuitive and easy to navigate.

This project focused on front-end development and translating structured requirements into a functional interface.

Development Approach

I approached this project by first building a structured layout using semantic HTML, then applying CSS to create spacing, alignment, and visual consistency across sections. Responsive design techniques were used to ensure the layout adapts across different screen sizes.

JavaScript was implemented to enhance usability by adding interactive features, including a light and dark mode toggle and adjustable font sizes. These features allow users to customize their experience and improve accessibility.

Interactive Controls

Interactive features were added using JavaScript to improve usability and give users more control over their experience. The site includes a light and dark mode toggle as well as font size adjustment options, allowing users to customize how content is displayed based on their preferences.

Final Results

The final product is a fully functional travel website built from written specifications, with a clear layout and organized content structure. The site highlights destinations, provides travel resources, and maintains a clean, easy-to-follow flow from top to bottom.

Interactive features built with JavaScript, including light and dark mode and adjustable font sizes, enhance usability and allow users to customize their experience.

This project demonstrates my ability to translate requirements into a working interface while combining structured front-end development with user-focused functionality.
